The Spina Bifida Association of Central Florida is a proud Healthcare Partner for Deliver the Dream which means we, along with other partners from around the state, can recommend families to attend an all expenses paid family retreat.

On November 9th-11th, there will be a Deliver the Dream Retreat for individuals 0-18 years old with spina bifida and their immediate family. If your whole immediate family, (those living in your home), could be at Haines City by 11:30AM on Friday, November 9th, and stay until 1:30PM on Sunday, Nov 11th, please consider applying to attend this retreat. Please note that applying is not a guarantee of acceptance, but if you are not accepted for this retreat, there will be another retreat in 2013. You must also agree to complete an application and scan/fax it by 12 noon on Wednesday, October 31st, to Deliver the Dream and have a doctor sign a release for the person with Spina Bifida. Families must commit to attending the entire weekend. The purpose of the retreat is to have fun, relax and make new friends who also have similar experiences as yours. Up to 15 families will attend the retreat. A $50 gas card is also provided to help with gas expenses.

The retreat will have assorted recreational indoor and outdoor activities, discussion groups, interactive games, creative workshops, team building exercises and more. Most activities include the entire family but there are times when your family will be split up into groups based on age.There will be a medical professional at the retreat available 24/7.
